I picked up two of the Revlon Top Coat glitters from Gloss for AUD$5 each. I decided to try Revlon Slipper first. It contains fine red and silver square glitter with silver holographic hexagons in a clear base. Since it's a top coat I applied it over Ulta3 Mango Mayhem instead of a red because I wanted to clearly get an idea of what Slipper looks like.
I applied two coats over my previous manicure. As a top coat the glitter sits in a clear base and since I added two coats the glitter sits in layers instead of sinking together. Even though it's a top coat I added a coat of Sally Hansen Mega Shine top coat.
These photos were taken immediately afterwards in artificial light.

The following day I took these photos in the natural light. The glitter had actually sunk down so it looked less like it was 'floating' in the clear base.

I think that you would have to wear this as a top coat because it would take a hundred layers to become opaque. I like the contrast of the orange to the red and silver glitter but I can't wait to wear Slipper over a black. At some point I will still try Slipper over a red but I am most eager to try it over a black base.
